Infrared cooktops are the most effective and energy-efficient cooktop compared to solid electric coils on the vise. It works almost like a microwave as it passes heat to the cookware by direct infrared radiation. This type of cooktop features a halogen lamp that is securely fitted in a metal dish and is corrosion protected.
