Some become lonely, some lose their fathers, one lose their mothers, some son and some daughter. In any case, one loses his home while other tries to fulfill his desideratum. Kopila Ashram is the story of an eponymous orphanage and the people associated with it. The orphanage is nothing but a front to smuggle orphans to the west as adoptees. At the center of it is a certain Hariramji, a little educated but shrewd man with dubious backgrounds. He keeps the individual records of children who end up at his orphanage and are later taken away by foreigners, and through these records we get to know about the back stories of these children and the circumstances in which they are orphaned.
