Khelu Ita are hand-woven cotton strands soaked in oil and are about two and a half feet long.
- Used during Mha Puja and Bhai Tika, These are lit at one end and offered to the one who is worshipped.
- It is believed that the lights must be kept lit until the puja is completed.
- The offering of the light signifies the strength of the self, makes one more powerful, and keeps evil away.
